Why Do They Make Paper Out of Elephant Poo?

Elephant Poo Poo Paper's Mission Statement

Our purpose is to successfully sell our goods in order to complete a truly creative sustainable cycle: where raw materials with little other use are utilized to make a useful and functional product all the while providing jobs and opportunity along the way and ultimately selling our goods at a profit from which a portion is directed to a worthwhile cause: elephant welfare and conservation.

Elephant Poo Poo Paper products are acid free, beautifully textured, and of course 100% recycled.

How Do They Make Paper Out of Elephant Poo?

And ... does elephant poo paper SMELL?

Paper is normally made from fiber from trees, of course. Elephant dung is very fibrous due to the elephant diet, and so it makes a great source for tree-free paper production. The dung is allowed to dry completely before being washed (and completely deodorized!), which basically leaves behind the fibers from the vegetation eaten by the elephants.
